What is the true meaning of gays?

In today's society, the term gay has become one of those terms that gets tossed around carelessly in everyday conversations. A lot of people are still unaware of its true meaning and what it entails. In the past, gay was more commonly associated with happiness and joyfulness. The term came from French word "gaiete" which means gay or joyous. It got mixed up with another French word "ieu", which normally meant life, but became more commonly associated with a happy life in the 1500s into the 1800s.
In present day, the word gay has become a derogatory label. It is used to refer to someone who is non-conformist, and someone who chooses to be different from the norm. While this may be true for some people, there are many people whose choices are based on being different and not conforming.
One of these groups is homosexual males. They choose homosexuality as their sexual preference because they do not want to conform in today's society like a good Christian does. For instance, in Ancient Greece during that time period, homosexuality was commonly accepted as an acceptable form of sex among men, but it was still considered wrong by society. It was during this time period that homosexuality changed into something that is now considered wrong by society. In America, when someone refers to a homosexual person, he or she simply says it as "gay." But for many gay people in today's society, they do not feel proud of being called gay. What they want to be is proud of who they are as a person.
One thing you will notice about the term gay is that it is sometimes used to refer to males who appear feminine or take on certain feminine qualities. For instance, there were women who were born with the condition called "Broken Dick Syndrome" and then became known as "Broken Dick Girls. Then there were women who wore dresses and took on a feminine style to be known as "Feminine Lesbians." When we see people being called gay, we have to remember that there are different kinds of gay such as homosexual males and lesbian females.
When speaking about homosexuality, Christians will often use the word gay to refer to those who choose to live their life as a homosexual. They will often refer to homosexuals as "gay" if they are called something like "fag." This is also true in today's society. Those who choose not adhere to the moral values and standards of society are often referred to by Christians as a "fag."
In the Bible, the reference for homosexuality always refers to male homosexuals.

What is the true meaning of lesbians?

Lesbians. The word evokes many different emotions for many different people but what is the true meaning of lesbians? To start, it was believed to be translated from French as "laies," which means "female who loves women." In the early 20th century, it defined a woman with a propensity to bond with other females. This inclination is usually displayed through heterosexual relationships. The definition did not stop there: There are also lesbian feminists as well as gay men and lesbian males that identify as lesbians. In more recent years, scholars such as Kate Bornstein and Michel Foucault have expanded the meaning of lesbians to encompass various identities that are un-defined by sexual preference or gender identity. Although in the '70s and '80s, it was popular to identify as lesbian and to have a sexual relationship with another woman, it has since broadened to include gender-fluid individuals, bisexuals, and transgender individuals. Nowadays, t...
